This young gelding who we raised has a lot of potential and his whole life ahead of him, Anyone should be able to ride this horse, he has been used to check and sort cattle, he’s been roped off of, we have hunted coyotes on him and shot off of him, he lays down on cue, he handles any terrain you throw at him, a good traveling gelding that likes to get out, he is friendly, gentle and easy to catch, attention loving, easy going, and stands for mounting, has a good start of a neck rein, has a good stop and backup, side passes, and open gates off of him. Perfect for the hardworking rancher or the hardcore hunter, this gelding could do it all from hunting and shooting your game off of him (leave your shooting sticks at home when you can lay him down and shoot over him) to ranching and roping on him and good for the trail rider or guide who wants a horse to guide hunters or trail riders, this guy could go any direction, he’s just a good all around gelding. A very good minded gelding that is a barrel or rope horse prospect deluxe definitely has the mind and ability to excel in those events but yet laid back enough for the trail rider or the ranch riding classes or simply make a good ranch horse, this guy would really go in any direction. Sky has never offered to buck, he is easy going and smart, handles new things with ease, he has been ridden outside and inside, has a lot of outside miles under his feet, side-passes, has a really nice stop, a good backup, open gates off of him, drug things behind him and we have swung ropes and threw ropes off of him. We put 60 days on this guy last summer and picked him back up this winter. This is a very nice colt and he is sound. He has good bone, excellent feet, and will go all day long. He has been used on the ranch, gentle, sound, has a good handle, has lots of miles, easy to get along although he can be cold backed if hasn’t been rode in a while-so he needs an experienced rider. He is a tough, surefooted, handy little horse that will go anywhere you point him. Mostly been used to check fence, sort, gather, and check pastures.
